Wisdom from the Whiskers

A Shaman's Journey as a Black Cat

Hello, World!

Some of you might already be acquainted with me, but for those who haven’t yet met me, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Ciccio Merlino, and in this current incarnation, I’m a humble black cat. I live a blissful life with my excellent keepers here on planet Earth. My keepers, whom I lovingly call Mom and Dad, have showered me with kindness, affection, and care. In return for their cuddles, nourishing food, cosy shelter, and boundless love, I have taken on the role of their Spiritual Guide, accompanying them through a significant portion of their earthly journey.

One of the most profound lessons I strive to impart to Mom and Dad is the art of loving without attachment. I encourage them to embrace this principle by ensuring they practice their daily rituals with me by their side. Each day, I participate in their meditation sessions, not merely as a passive observer but as an active participant in their spiritual growth.

A particularly memorable moment occurred when I taught Mom about the joy of creating happiness out of seemingly mundane moments. During one of her meditative practices, she was intensely focused on the energies of her chakras, meticulously blessing each one while sitting in a lotus position.

As she worked her way through her chakras, I sensed she took things too seriously. To lighten the mood and help her elevate her vibrations, I decided to inject a bit of playful mischief into our session.

While she was balancing between Svadhishthana (the Sacral Chakra) and Manipura (the Solar Plexus Chakra), I let out a fart.

The room was soon filled with an unexpected odour, and the change in atmosphere caught Mom by surprise. Instead of being annoyed, she burst into fits of laughter. Her laughter resonated throughout the room, a beautiful sound that joyfully filled our hearts. The sheer happiness of the moment was palpable, and it was evident that her vibrations had soared to a higher state, her chakras now brimming with a renewed sense of joy and lightness.

This experience was a perfect example of a lesson I strive to teach: it’s vital not to take life too seriously, especially not oneself. Life is meant to be savoured and enjoyed, and sometimes, a good laugh is the simplest yet most effective way to lift our spirits and brighten our days. So remember, dear friends, life is a precious gift, and embracing it with humour and joy can make all the difference. Here’s to finding happiness in the little things and allowing ourselves to laugh heartily.

Namaste
